Bears Add Four Top-5 Finishes To Weekend Performance In Troy

TROY, Ala. – Charity Obazughanmwen registered a third-place finish in the 400m Dash, while Arielle Livingston and the 4x100m Relay squad both picked up fourth-place tallies, to highlight action for the Mercer tack & field team on the final day of the Doc Anderson Invitational & Multi on a windy day in central Alabama.
The Bears finished their 2-day stay in Troy with a dozen top-10 performances, including seven top-5 showings. Obazughanmwen finished the event with a pair of top-10 tallies, including a 7th-place finish in Friday's 200m Dash event, while freshman Arielle Livingston also logged a fifth-place performance in Saturday's 100m Hurdles.
Mercer will be back in action again, April 11-12, when the Bears split their squad and head to a pair of events. The sprinters, jumpers and hurdles are scheduled to compete in the South Florida Invitational in Tampa, Fla., while the distance squad will head to Durham, N.C., for the Duke Invitational.
