Scheck tied for third, Dubnik tied for sixth
MARICOPA, Ariz. – Katie Scheck and Mikayla Dubnik are in the top 10 on the individual leaderboard after Saturday's second round of the National Golf Invitational (NGI) from Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona.
Scheck carded a second round of 4-over, 76 and is tied for third at 2-over par for the tournament. Dubnik shot a second round of 2-over, 74 and is 3-over for the tournament and tied for sixth.
Saturday proved to be a tougher day to score low compared to Friday's first round with only one team in the 10-team field carding a lower team score in the second round than first. As a team, Mercer sits in a tie for fifth place in the field at 33-over, 609. Santa Clara owns a 12-shot lead heading into the final round at 12-over, 588.
Scheck made eagle on the par 5, 16th, the only player to make an eagle through the first two rounds of the tournament. Dubnik finished her second round with a 34 on the back nine, with four birdies to move up to a tie for sixth place.

Mikayla Dubnik carded a first round of 1-over, 73 and is tied for 10th. She had 13 pars on the day which was tied for most in the field.
Mercer will start the final round off hole one, with Ella Mäki-Tanila getting things started for the Bears as the first to tee off at 7:18 local time (CT), 10:18 ET.
