Former Standout Keeper Inks Deal With Birmingham Legion FC

MACON – After one of the best collegiate careers in Mercer history, former goalkeeper Trevor McMullen has found a new home with the Birmingham Legion FC.
The USL Championship squad announced the signing of McMullen this past Saturday, increasing the number of players that have signed professional contracts after playing under head coach Brad Ruzzo to 15.
A native of Decatur, Georgia, McMullen cemented himself in the Southern Conference and the Mercer record books. McMullen helped the Bears raise two SoCon titles during his time as a Bear.

McMullen currently sits in second in program history with a 1.08 goals against average and 21 shutouts. He also has the lowest GAA, 0.82, in a single season during the 2023 campaign where the Bears lifted the SoCon trophy. In his last season in Macon, he kept eight shutouts, which is tied for the second-most in school history.
