
Women's Tennis Opens Spring Season At Clemson

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team will resume its 2025-26 campaign on Friday morning when the Bears begin their spring season on the road against Clemson. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. at Clemson's Duckworth Family Tennis Facility.

Mercer, which returned five players, and welcomed three new players to the team, put together a banner fall campaign that included 35 singles victories, as well as 26 more on the doubles courts. Senior Marina de Diego Quinones returns after earning First Team All-Conference honors last season. In the fall she led the Bears with a 10-3 singles record.

Junior Tea Zivic also returns after a solid sophomore season in which she went 4-3 in conference matches.

The Tigers returned most of their players from last season as eight Clemson players returned this season and three newcomers joined the Tigers. Sophomore Artemis Aslanisvili returns after an outstanding freshman season in which she went 16-8 in singles.

Friday will be just the third all-time meeting between Mercer and Clemson. The Tigers won both of the meetings including a 7-0 win last season in Clemson.
