Mercer Hosts Jacksonville State On Sunday

MACON – The Mercer men's tennis team will close out a two-match home stand on Sunday when the Bears lace up to take on visiting Jacksonville State at the Copelan Tennis Complex. First serves are scheduled for 11 a.m. and admission is free.

Fans unable to make the trip to Middle Georgia can still follow all of the action for free via a live scoring link provided by the MU athletics department.

The Bears (0-3) are still looking for their first win of the season after dropping a 7-0 decision to visiting Georgia Southern on Friday in Macon, in addition to a pair of losses to top 25 foes that began the campaign. Senior Hod'abalo Isak Padio still leads the way for the Orange & Black in singles play with a team-best nine victories, while MU's tandem of newcomer Alex Aldaz and senior Prince Gandonou still sport a team-best seven triumphs in doubles action.

The Gamecocks (0-0) have a pair of exhibition victories over NCAA Division II squads (Berry, Mississippi College) under their belt, but will officially lift the lid on their spring season on Sunday in Macon.
