MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's lacrosse team will take on No. 9 Clemson on Tuesday afternoon in Macon. First draw is set for 4 p.m. from Five Star Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday will be just the third all-time meeting between Mercer and Clemson. The two teams have split their first two meetings with each winning on the other's home field. Last year, Mercer defeated No. 9 Clemson 11-10 in Clemson, South Carolina for the Bears' first ever win over a ranked team in program history.
LAST TIME OUT
Caroline Glus scored a season high six goals and the Mercer women's lacrosse team picked a solid 20-16 win over Arizona State Saturday from Five Star Stadium.
The win was Mercer's first all-time win against Arizona State in what was just the second ever meeting against the Sun Devils. Mercer has now won a game against a Big 12 opponent for the second consecutive season after Mercer defeated UC Davis last year.
SCOUTING CLEMSON
Clemson enters Tuesday's game with a 5-4 overall record and 2-3 record in ACC play. The Tigers are coming off back-to-back wins over top 25 teams. Clemson defeated No. 6 Notre Dame 13-9 on March 8 and most recently beat No. 21 Virginia 12-10 on Saturday. All four of Clemson's losses have been by three goals or less and all came against top 15 teams in the country.
Tuesday will be Clemson's fourth away game of the season. The Tigers are 2-1 on the road.
Clemson ranks fourth in the ACC in goals per game at 14.1 per game. Defensively, the Tigers are allowing just 8.6 goals per game which is 19th best in the country. Clemson does a great job defensively in forcing turnovers as the Tigers rank third in the country in caused turnovers per game at 13.2 per game.
Freshman attacker Alexa Spanilla leads the Tigers offensively with 44 points (16G, 28A). Freshman midfielder Aubrie Eisfeld leads the team in goals with 17. She is one of six players with 13 or more goals on the season for the Tigers.
Freshman goalie Tessa DeLuca has started five of the nine games in goal for Clemson. She owns a .436 save percentage and 9.1 goals against average.
