RALEIGH, N.C. – Mercer mustered a combined seven hits and yielded a quintet of multiple-run frames on the way to dropping Saturday afternoon tilts with both Stetson and NC State on the final day of the Wolfpack-hosted The Marucci Classic.

The contests closed out the early-season tournament schedule for the Bears (10-12) who will return home next weekend for a series with America East foe Bryant at Sikes Field. Stetson (15-10) stopped a five-game skid with their abbreviated 13-0 win over the Orange & Black, while NC State (18-7) ran its win streak out to 15 games with their 5-1 win over MU.

TOP 1	Irianis Garcia climbed aboard via a one-out single, and Nicole Edmiaston followed with a 2-run homer three pitches later to give the Hatters the lead for good.

KEY INNINGS (VS. NCSTATE)
BOT 4	NC State took a 1-0 lead into the fourth, but used a pair of homers to pad their advantage. Hannah Church singled to lead off the frame, with Morgen Tally and Taryn Massey following with back-to-back homers. Carly Short's 1-out suicide squeeze later in the frame plated the Wolfpack's final run of the game.

Mercer will make its way back to Macon on Friday and Saturday, March 13-14, to host America East foe Bryant (7-10) in a three-game series at Sikes Field. Friday's series opener is slated for a 6 p.m. start, with the teams closing out the weekend set via a noon doubleheader on Saturday. Admission is free.
