Mercer Wraps Up Regular Season Slate At Five Star Stadium Saturday

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer men's lacrosse team will play the final contest of their regular season slate on Saturday, April 25 as they host Jacksonville at Five Star Stadium for Senior Day at 2 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's game will be the 17th meeting between these two squads dating back to the first match up in 2011 and have faced eachother every year for the past 14 years (besides 2020). Jacksonville holds the overall record 14-2 with Mercer's most recent win nearly 10 years ago when they defeated the Dolphins 12-5 on their home turf. The most recent meeting saw Jacksonville take a 16-12 win over Mercer last season in Jacksonville at Rock Stadium on Saturday, April 26.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bears are coming off of a 17-9 loss to Air Force last Saturday in Colorado. Senior midfielder Dylan McKelvy led the way for the Bears with a hat trick on the day. Michael Frederick and Christopher Cappelamann both posted two goals a piece while Tommy Bartenhagen and Luke Fox also found the back of the net for the Bears. On the defensive side, Thomas Venzie picked up four ground balls and caused a turnover and inbetween the pipes for the Bears, Jacob Neuman recorded 13 saves.

The Dolphins are led by John Galloway who enters his tenth season at the helm for Jacksonville. The Dolphins finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 9-5 and went 4-1 in the ASUN, falling to Air Force 15-12 in the semi-final round of the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship.
The Dolphins currently sit with a record of 7-5 with conference wins against Air Force (16-10), Queens (14-1) and Bellarmine (27-7) with a loss to Utah (9-8).
