MACON – The Mercer men's soccer team concludes its second homestand of the season with a Monday-night matchup against UAB at Betts Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY
Since 2008, the Bears and the Blazers have seen each other nine times with UAB leading the all-time series, 3-6. Mercer won two of the last three contests, both in 3-2 fashion. The two programs have not competed against one another since 2022 in Macon, Georgia. The Bears scored two goals in the final 20 minutes with Michael Ille netting the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute.
LAST TIME OUT
Mercer fell to 0-2-1 on the season this past Thursday after they battled three hours of a rain delay and 90 minutes against UNCW at Betts Stadium. Henry Hampshaw recorded four saves, and the Bears kept a clean sheet until the 79th minute, when the Seahawks found the game-winner.
SCOUTING THE BLAZERS
UAB enters Monday's match in search of its first win of the season. The Blazers began the year with a 1-1 draw against Lipscomb before falling to Georgia State, 1-0, this past Tuesday. Senior forward Lucas Nordin scored UAB's equalizer in its season opener. Nordin transferred to UAB ahead of the 2025 season after spending his first two seasons playing for ETSU.
Senior forward Humphrey Doh was deemed the Preseason Co-Offensive Player of the Year ahead of the 2026 campaign by the American Conference. Doh was an All-American Conference Second Teamer last season. Ole Jessen, a junior defender, received Preseason All-Conference recognition as well as UAB was voted to finish seventh in the American by the league's coaches.
