2011: Worked her way into a starting role in right field after transferring from Georgia Perimeter College…Started 33 games and played in 43 last season at third base, right field and designated hitter…Batted .271 with 26 hits on the year…Tied for third on the team in doubles with five and finished with seven RBI…Tied for fifth on the team with six multi-hit games…Had a season-high two RBI against Bowling Green (2/26)…Drove in the winning run in the top of the seventh inning to defeat Campbell 2-1 in the opening game of the Atlantic Sun tournament(5/11)…Hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning to drive in the winning run to defeat the host team of the A-Sun Tournament, USC Upstate(5/12).
At Georgia Perimeter: Spent two seasons at Georgia Perimeter after graduating in 2008…Was selected to the 2010 Second Team All-Region team playing under head coach Ed Shutte…Also made the Second Team All-Region in 2009 as well…Georgia Perimeter was the Region 17 tournament champions and 2010 and played in the JUCO World Series in St. George, Utah.
High School: Lettered four years for head coach Toby Evans at Eagles Landing High School in McDonough, Ga…Was a three-time team Golden Glove winner in ’05, ’06, and ’07…Was a two-time second team All-State selection in ’06 and ’07…Won the team’s academic award in 2007…Her Eagles Landing team made it to the Region Tournament in ’04 and ’07…Also lettered three times in soccer at Eagles Landing.
Personal: Chose Mercer because of its small campus size and the academic atmosphere…Names Chipper Jones as her favorite athlete…Is the daughter of Alison and Tommy Phillips and has three older brothers…Plans to major in Biology at Mercer.
