2014: Appeared in 32 games while starting 26 and garnered a 15-6 record … Finished the season with team’s best E.R.A with a 2.21 average … Pitched a nine inning, 3-hit, shutout in a 1-0 win against Kennesaw State (April 2nd) … Threw nine strike-outs in an 11-5 victory against Georgia State (Feb. 26th) and finished the season with 101.
High School: Four-year letterwinner in softball under head Coach Mike Buck at Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake, Ill., where she was an honor student and a triligual scholar. Kirsten won a multitude of awards during her high school career, including the Northwest Herald Softball Player of the Year during her senior year, All-State Second Team during her junior year, and All State Honorable Mention and Offensive MVP during her freshman year. She was also All-Conference and First Team All-Area each year of her high school career. Kirsten was a part of a team that won its conference her freshman, sophomore, and senior years, and also won regionals her junior year.
Personal: Born on Oct. 5, 1994 to parents Rob and Judi Stevens… Has two brothers, Tyler and Brett… Her favorite athlete is Apolo Ohno… Majoring in Spanish, and would like to work as a teacher.
