2016 at MERCER: Made 31 starts in 44 apperances during a senior campaign where she split time as a corner outfielder... Batted .211 with 15 hits and nine RBIs... Scored 10 runs and drew 10 walks... Was successful in her one stolen base attempt against Central Michigan (Feb. 12)... Hit three doubles, including two in conference play against UNCG and Furman... Launched a home run in Mercer's season-opening win over St. Bonaventure (Feb. 12)... Reached base in six straight games from May 1-12... Closed the season with 12 straight starts in right field.
2015 at MERCER: Appeared in 28 games with 14 starts during junior season … Hit .222 with nine RBIs on the year … Had two multiple-hit performances … Finished with 12 total hits including one double and one triple … Scored six runs … Drew seven walks … Drove in a season-high two runs in games against Florida (Feb. 22) and Georgia State (Mar. 4) … Crossed the plate a season-high three times in a win over Portland State on Mar. 7.
2014 at MERCER: Played in and started 54 games, primarily playing at second base … Finished with a .326 batting average in 181 at-bats, ranking third on the team … Finished the season with seven home runs and 55 RBI’s, which ranked first in the Atlantic Sun … Went hitless in only 10 games and had two nine game hitting streaks separated by one game spanning from February 21st to March 22nd…
2013 at MERCER: As a freshman, Haney hit .273 in 48 games, starting all but one of them...She had 41 hits and 13 walks to compile a .331 on-base percentage...Haney was third among the regular infielders in putouts with 130 and also managed 76 assists...Haney showed potential on the base paths as she scored 24 runs and stole eight bags...On a more interesting note, she led the team in sacrifice hits with 10
HIGH SCHOOL: Haney comes to Mercer after playing for three years under head coach Billie Powell at James E. Taylor High School in Katy, Texas. She is a two-time All-District 19 5A and Academic All-District player while her team was a 2011 regional semi-finalist after winning the district 19 5A championship. She was also named her high school's Defensive Player of the Year in 2011.
PERSONAL: Born on Apr. 7, 1994 to Roy and Debbie Haney…member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society….received the Texas ACT Council Student Achievement Award in 2010…chose Mercer because it was the perfect combination of academics and athletics…favorite movie is Up…favorite athlete is Jeff Bagwell…majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
