A standout on the diamond for Mercer over the last two seasons, Rebecca Laudino now turns her attention to the coaching world in 2023-24 as a graduate assistant coach for the Bears.

A two-time All-Southern Conference standout, Laudino played in 106 games (105 starts) for the Orange & Black and compiled a .339 (119-for-351) career batting average to go along with nine extra-base hits (1 HR), 34 RBI and 59 runs scored. She also drew 14 walks, was hit by pitch eight times and closed out her playing career in Macon with 31 stolen bases.

Prior to her time in Middle Georgia, the Sao Paulo, Brazil, native played three seasons (2019-21) at Florida SouthWestern State. She logged time in 103 career games with the Buccaneers while compiling a .512 batting average with 35 extra-base hits (5 HR), 77 RBI and 182 runs scored. She hit .527 or better in each of her first two seasons in Fort Myers, Fla., and was successful on 101 of 108 career stolen base attempts.

Laudino, the daughter of Edgar Augusto and Cleide Godoi Diniz Laudino, earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from Mercer in 2023. She is currently pursuing her master’s in business administration (MBA).
