Men’s Soccer Hosts UCF Sunday Evening

MACON, Ga. – Mercer returns home from a four-match road trip to host UCF on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Bear Field in Macon.

The Bears (4-1) return to their home pitch after posting a 3-1 record with a pair of overtime wins while UCF (0-2) is coming off a loss at South Carolina.

SERIES HISTORY
Mercer will face the Golden Knights for the 14^th time in program history with UCF holding a slight 6-5-2 advantage in the all-time series. The Bears notched a 2-0 win at UCF last season, the first meeting between the two schools since UCF notched a 5-2 win in 2011.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
UCF enters Sunday's match with an 0-2 mark following a 2-1 loss at South Carolina, a team the Bears beat in extra time. The Golden Knights, who have not played a home match yet in the regular season, opened the 2016 slate with a 4-2 loss at Grand Canyon while Hurricane/Tropical Storm Hermine canceled their Sept. match at Charlotte. UCF split a pair of exhibitions against Division II schools, falling to Tampa (2-1) but defeating Florida Southern (3-0).
