The Bears out-hit Georgia State, 9-7, despite the loss
Â
The visiting Panthers (8-3) capitalized on a pair of three-run home runs by Remington Hasty and Kensey Caldwell in the second and fifth innings to come away with the victory. Amanda Chance earned the win for Georgia State after allowing three runs over five frames, despite failing to strike out a single Bear.
Â
Taylor's second home run of the year sparked a three-run fourth inning for the Bears (4-6), who lost their fourth straight contest. Rud – who went 2-for-4 in her fifth multi-hit game of the season – added a two-run single before being thrown out at second base on the same play to end the frame.
