Mercer Continues Home Stand Against Gardner-Webb

MACON, Ga. – Mercer is in the midst of a five-game home stand as the women's lacrosse team is set to host Gardner-Webb on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Five Star Stadium.

Meghan Segreti and Kate Leone are both leading Mercer and the ASUN with eight total goals and 4.00 goals per game this season. The duo also ranks 13th nationally in goals per game.

Mercer is averaging 10.00 assists per game, leading the ASUN and ranking second nationally. Lindsey Zeltwanger dished out a season-high four assists against Fresno State last week, moving her into first place in the ASUN with six total assists this season. Eva Thorn is third in the league with five assists, all of which she contributed in the season-opener against Presbyterian. Zeltwanger also leads the league and ranks eighth nationally with 3.00 assists per game, while Thorn is second in the ASUN and 19th nationally with 2.50 apg.

Mercer started its third season off with a bang, cruising past Presbyterian 23-13 on Feb. 11. This is the second season in which Mercer has won the first game of the year, as the Bears also opened the 2015 campaign with a win.
