Mercer to Host Panthers in Mid-Week Contest

Bears prepped for another in-state clash
MACON, Ga. – Mercer will host Georgia State in a mid-week matchup at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20 at Sikes Field.
The Bears enter the contest at 12-18 overall while Georgia State owns a 4-23 record. Wednesday's game will be streamed live on the SoCon Digital Network and live stats will also be provided.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bears trail Georgia State 16-53 in the respective overall series history. The teams most recently faced off last season in Atlanta, Ga. where the Panthers walked away with the 14-8 win.

SCOUTING GEORGIA STATE
The Panthers head to Macon on Wednesday coming off a weekend series win against UT Arlington at home. Georgia State earned two wins against UT Arlington, which are half of its victories this season. The Panthers also picked up wins against Eastern Illinois (9-2) and Fordham (5-4). Caitlin Ray leads the Panthers with a .324 batting average, including 24 hits, 11 RBIs, five doubles and three runs for the season.
