Mercer Men to Clash with The Citadel, Chattanooga

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team will hit the road to face The Citadel and Chattanooga in Southern Conference play on Friday and Sunday afternoons.

Friday's match against The Citadel will be played at 1:30 p.m. (ET) at the Jack Adams Tennis Center in Charleston, S.C. Sunday's match with the Mocs will be at 1 p.m. (ET) at the UTC Tennis Center in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Scouting the Bulldogs
The Citadel enters Friday's match with an 8-20 overall record and are still winless (0-3) in SoCon action. Five consecutive losses include a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Chattanooga on March 17. Phillip Quinn owns The Citadel's best singles record at 14-11, having earned 10 of those wins in the No. 6 seed.

Scouting the Mocs
Chattanooga is coming off a 5-2 win against The Citadel in its first SoCon match of the spring. The Mocs have won 10 matches, marking the first time they have done that since 2013. Junior Niklas Gerdes leads Chattanooga with a 12-5 record at No. 1 in the spring.
