MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team returns to the court as the Bears travel to Jacksonville, Ala. to face the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, this Thursday, March 7. Play is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Scouting the Gamecocks
Jacksonville State enters Thursday's matchup coming off its lone loss of the season, a 5-2 defeat at East Carolina last Saturday. Prior to the loss, the Gamecocks had strung together seven consecutive victories to open the season. Jacksonville State has been perfect on home court this season, posting an undefeated 2-0 mark. Joaquin Vallejo leads the team in singles victories, holding a 7-2 record. Sergio Lizarraga has also impressed, with an undefeated 5-0 singles record. The Gamecocks are led by former Jacksonville State standout Andres Amores, who is serving in his fourth season at the helm.

Mercer will return home from its road swing to host Cleveland State on Sunday, March 10, at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
