Bears play its first home match of the season on Saturday
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team opens its home schedule on Saturday, Jan. 25 when they host Presbyterian at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.  Â

Scouting the Blue Hose
Presbyterian enters the match with the Bears with an 0-2 record on the season… They opened the season on Jan. 11 at Charlotte and were defeated 5-2... The last match they played was Jan. 13 at Samford… Against the Bulldogs, the Blue Hose were defeated, 4-3… During the first two matches, the Blue Hose are 1-4 in doubles action and 5-7 in singles play. Oscar Alvarez is 1-0 on the season playing No. 4 singles. Max Benson played both matches as the No. 1 player on the team, is 1-1. Both of his matches went three sets. He defeated Benjamin Wayand of Charlotte before losing to Rossouw Norval at Samford. Eduardo Rincon is serving his first season leading the Blue Hose.
NEXT UP
The Bears return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 29 when they head to Statesboro, Ga. to face Georgia Southern. The first serve is slated for 2:30 p.m. Â
