Bears head to Athens to play Georgia
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team hits the road to Athens, Ga. for its second straight match against an in-state foe. On Tuesday, the Bears will square off with Georgia. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m.
Mercer is coming off back-to-back losses this past weekend. They were defeated by Georgia State on Sunday, 6-1. Olivier Stuart picked up the win for the Bears in singles. Stuart is ranked No. 46 in the ITA Tennis rankings.

Scouting the Bulldogs
Georgia enters the week with an overall record of 3-2 on the season and the 31st team ranking in the ITA team poll. The Bulldogs play Florida Atlantic on Monday before hosting Mercer on Tuesday at the Magill Tennis Complex. The Bulldogs two losses this season came to No. 15 South Carolina and No. 4 Texas.
In dual matches this season, the Bulldogs are 10-4. Blake Croyder and Phillip Henning doubles team is ranked 22nd in the ITA doubles rankings. They are 4-1 at No. 2 doubles this season. The top doubles team of Trent Bryde and Tyler Zink are 4-1 in doubles this season and ranked 33rd in the ITA doubles rankings.
In singles action, the Bulldogs have four players ranked in the ITA Singles rankings, Trent Bryde (No. 22), Philip Henning (No. 26), Tyler Zink (No. 72) and Blake Croyder (No. 95). Bryde is 3-1 at No. 1 singles this season and is the only Bulldog to play in the No. 1 spot. Henning is 3-2 in duals this season and has played No. 2 and No. 3 singles. Zink is 3-2 on the year and has wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. Croyder is 5-0 in singles action in the No. 5 and No. 6 spots.
