Bears swept by Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team dropped its third straight match as they were defeated by Georgia, 7-0, on Tuesday afternoon.

Mercer fell in doubles when the Bulldogs won No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, 6-1. The doubles match of David Georgadze and Stathis Tsiranidis went unfinished.

In a singles matchup that faced two players ranked in the ITA singles rankings was No. 26 Philip Henning and No. 46 Olivier Stuart. Stuart battled in the first set but was defeated 6-4. He needed to win the second set to stay alive but was defeated 6-2.

In No. 6 singles, Georgadze battled Alex Phillips but came up short as he was defeated 6-4, 6-4.
