MACON, Ga. – Mercer will host their fourth in-state rival, Georgia Southern, in Hawkins Arena on Dec. 11, for their Macon Made game just five days after their fourth consecutive win in Conway S.C. against Coastal Carolina. The tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT/NEXT UP Today's game will be the 112th meeting between the Bears and the Eagles. Mercer (6-4) most recently had two 16-point performances from Jalen Johnson and James Glisson III and won its fourth consecutive game on the 21-22 season against Coastal Carolina. Felipe Haase added 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting and recorded seven rebounds. Kamar Robertson was the fourth highest scoring Bear and added to the tally with 12 points.

SERIES HISTORY
The series is currently set at 69-42, with the Eagles on top. However, the last matchup between these
two teams the Bears won 77-75 on Dec. 13, 2020, in Statesboro. The most field goals attempted
by Mercer in Hawkins Arena was 88 and it was against Georgia Southern on 11/29/04.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Eagles are coming off an 85-43 win against Carver where Georgia Southernʼs Savrasov went 11-of-13 from the field and added two assists and a steal. Sophomore Cam Bryant finished with 15 points on 6 of 9 shooting and added six rebounds, six assists and two steals. Senior Kamari Brown totaled 15 points, three steals and two assists. Georgia Southern (5-3) started the game with a 27-6 run as the Eagles made 12 of their first 17 shots. GS shot 68 percent in the first half (21-of-31) and they committed 10 turnovers.
