MACON, Ga. – Mercer is set to host Samford for a weekend of games. The first set of games is scheduled for Saturday, a double header beginning at 2:00 p.m. The final game is set for Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

MERCER OUTLOOK
The Bears enter the weekend following a 7-1 victory over Florida A&M on Wednesday. In conference, the Bears are looking to improve their 0-3 record.

Diamond Williams leads the team with a batting average of .333. Rebeca Laudino leads in runs (19), and RBIs (15). Laudino is tied with Annie Potter in hits (26). Potter and Adele Braun are tied with five doubles while Potter and Alyssa Woods are tied at five triples. Kenlie Harvey leads with three homeruns. Tori Hedgecock has 20 total walks.

SCOUTING SAMFORD
The Bulldogs currently hold a 15-14 record. This weekend will be the start of their conference schedule.

Mary Katherine Tedder is the leading batter with an average of .369. She leads in runs (32), doubles (11), triples (2), and walks (17). Sarah Squillace leads in runs with 21. Timberlyn Shurbutt is the leader in homeruns (5) and RBIs (23).

McKenzie Newcomb holds the lowest ERA (2.29) and WHIP (.99). Newcomb is 11-7 on the season.

Head Coach Kimball Cassady is within her first season.
