Men’s Golf Set to Tee Off in Round 1 & 2 of The Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational

MACON, Ga. – Mercer Men's Golf Team travels to Erie, Colorado for the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational. The 54-hole tournament is hosted by Colorado at the Colorado National Golf Course and takes place on Monday, October 2 through Tuesday, October 3.

THE FIELD
The Bears will be matched up against 17 other schools that features nearly 100 competitors. The schools include Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Northern Colorado, Rice, Wyoming, UT Arlington, Texas El Paso, Air Force, Washington State, Nevada, San Francisco, Boise State, Utah Valley, Grand Canyon, Valparaiso, and Arizona State.

THE LINE-UP
Leading Coach Jason Payne's squad is senior Tobias Jonsson who finished as the Bears best golfer at 7-under-bar at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate. Along with Jonsson, the Bears roster for the weekend includes Jay Spivey, Gustav Sjoberg, Jacob Uyesato and Jonathan Parker.
