MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's lacrosse program will travel to Jacksonville, Florida to take No. 11 Jacksonville University at noon at Rock Stadium.

Head coach Ryan Danehy secured his first ASUN win of his career in a 16-12 game against Detroit Mercy last Saturday, March 18. The Bears move to 2-6 on the season and 1-1 in ASUN Conference play. Freshman midfielder Michael Frederick led the way for the Bears with five goals, senior attackmen Parker Junod slotted in four goals and had 2 assists. Senior Faceoff specialist Ashton Wood added two goals of his own and went 18-24 from the faceoff x. Senior midfielder Kyle Cox also added two goals for himself. Senior midfield Khory Reid, freshmen midfield Jack Sullivan, and senior attackman Carl Klepper each added a goal for the Bears.

Jacksonville is led by John Galloway who is entering his seventh season as head coach for the Dolphins. The Dolphins are currently 6-1 and 1-0 in ASUN conference play. They have had wins over Duke, Marist, High Point, UMass Lowell, St. John's, and Robert Morris.
The Dolphins return 43 players from the 2022 season, and they welcomed 18 new freshman. The Dolphins current leading point score is graduate attackman Dylan Watson with 23 points (18 goals, 5 assists).
