MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis program will return to conference play on the road against Chattanooga on Sunday, March 26 at 11 a.m.

RECENT ACTION
The Bears fell to Alabama State, 4-3, in a hard-fought match on Wednesday. In doubles play, Mercer took both the second and third slot, earning the point. After Alabama State tied the match, Marceau Foulihoux claimed his 12th win of the season, and the Bears were in the lead again.

Nemanja Stefanovic took the third point for the Bears, but the team was not able to pull out the win. The Hornets tied the match again after a three-set win and a 7-6, 7-6 win and would eventually take the victory with another three-set match.Â

SCOUTING CHATTANOOGA
Chattanooga is having its best season since 2020 when the team went 12-6 in regular season play and 1-1 in conference play before the season was cut short. The 2021 season is the last time Mercer defeated the Mocs, 4-3.Â

UTC played ETSU on Friday and defeated the Bucs 4-3. Simon Labbe and Peyton Gatti teamed up at the first doubles slot and took the win yesterday, posting an 8-5 record together so far this season. Kerim Hyatt and Kristof Kincses also defeated their opponents at the second doubles slot and are 11-4 this season.

Hyatt has occupied the first singles slot for the entirety of this season and is standing at a 5-9 record after winning Friday 6-3, 6-4. Gabriel Castillo has drifted between the second and third doubles slot, going 12-4 overall, and Ryan Murde is 10-6 so far as he has played at both the fourth and fifth slots.Â
