Volleyball Plays Bethune-Cookman In Statesboro On Saturday

MACON – Following the first home match of the 2023 season, the Bears will travel to Georgia Southern to play Bethune-Cookman at the Eagles facilities as a neutral site. The match will be at 1 p.m.

The Bears faced Georgia Southern in the home opener on Thursday. After a dominant first set, the Eagles came back full-force to take the next three and the match. Even in the defeat, Head Coach Chad Sutton is excited for what is ahead for his team as the season gets into full swing. He was grateful for all the support of fans that filled Hawkins arena and brought energy to the match.

The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats are 0-9 this season, including a loss to Southern Conference member The Citadel.

The Bears will return to Macon on September 22 to host Wofford for the first conference match of the season at Hawkins arena at 6 p.m.
