MACON, Ga. –The Mercer Men's soccer team will travel to Orem, Utah on Saturday, September 23 to battle Utah Valley at 9:30 p.m. ET at Clyde Field.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
This will be the second match between these two programs. The only meeting between Utah Valley and Mercer occurred on September 13, 2015, when the Bears defeated the Wolverines 1-0 following a goal from Mercer's Carson Brooks.

LAST TIME OUT
Mercer moves to 4-1-3 on the season following their match against Georgia Southern. The Eagles would start the scoring off in the 33rd minute. The Bears would battle back into the game finding the equalizing goal from freshman forward Barzee Blama. Blama and the other forwards began to press the defense more in the second half causing them to make mistakes that led to many opportunities for the Bears. The Bears were able to capitalize off the mistake from Georgia Southern's Goalkeeper in the 66th minute, evening the score back up at 1-1. Despite pressing hard in the closing minutes, the Bears were unable to find another goal before the final whistle.
SCOUTING UTAH VALLEY
Last season Utah Valley finished 7-8-1 and went 5-4 in Western Athletic Conference play.
Throughout seven games this season, the Wolverines are 1-4-3 coming off a 2-2 draw against The University of the Pacific. The Wolverines have played many tough opponents and secured their first victory over Kansas City after scoring four unanswered goals. Utah Valley was selected to finish sixth in a nine team Western Athletic Conference.
