Softball Releases 2025 Slate

MACON – Twenty-four home games, including eight as part of two February tournaments at Sikes Field, highlight the 56-game Mercer softball schedule that was released on Thursday morning by head coach Lindsay Fico.

The Bears will open the home portion of their 2025 slate on opening weekend, Feb. 7-9, 2025, when they welcome St. Joseph's, Florida A&M and Austin Peay to Sikes Field for the annual 3-day Heart of Georgia Classic. The Orange & Black will return to tournament-host mode, February 21-23, to battle Jacksonville, Middle Tennessee State and Alabama State as part of the 3-day MUSB Invitational.

In addition to the two home tournaments, Mercer is scheduled to visit Tennessee State (Nashville, Tenn.), Florida State (Tallahassee, Fla.) and North Florida/Jacksonville (Jacksonville, Fla.) for early-season, multi-game tournaments in February and March as well.

The Bears will play their first three-game series, March 15-16, when they welcome Binghamton to Sikes Field, and will lift the lid on the Southern Conference portion of the schedule a week later when they trek to Birmingham, Ala., to take on Samford. Mercer will play its first SoCon home series, March 29-30, when Chattanooga visits Macon.

The 2025 Southern Conference Tournament is scheduled for May 7-10 at Wofford's Hope Field.
