FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. – Henry Robards and Cole Hanson secured top-five finishes as the Bears wrapped up their fall schedule with a second place finish at the Fripp Island Intercollegiate on Monday.Â
The top-five finish was the first of both Robards and Hanson's careers. Robards continues to impress in his freshman campaign, as this was the third time this season that Robards has been the Bears' top finisher. He finished the tournament at two-under. Hanson, who spent his first three collegiate years playing hockey at Colgate and Maine, made his collegiate golf debut in Fripp Island. For the weekend, Hanson shot one-under.

Nathan Trodd and Trey Mixon rounded out the Mercer lineup, as both finished the event at nine-over.
As a team, Mercer finished just four strokes behind the host USC Upstate for the title. The Bears shot even in the third and final round. Mount St. Mary's Aaron Sorkin and USC Upstate's Alec Prentice both shot seven-under for the tournament to share the individual title.Â
