
Bears Add Douthit, Hagelauer To 2024-25 Roster

MACON – Mercer men's tennis head coach Eric Hayes put the finishing touches on his 2024-25 recruiting class on Tuesday evening when he announced that Macon native Cam Douthit and Frenchman Tom Hagelauer have inked their names to National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers with the Bears.

Douthit, a recent graduate of Stratford Academy, is listed among the nation's top-200 prep players, including a No. 5 listing in the state of Georgia, as well as a No. 36 region ranking. Sporting a career prep mark of 72-3, he put the finishing touches on a perfect 23-0 senior campaign by putting together an unblemished run through the Georgia High School Association state tournament.

Hagelauer, a product of Toulouse, France, makes the move to Middle Georgia from EPF Engineering School and will has one year of collegiate eligibility remaining. Hagelauer boasts a ranking of 0 among players in his native country.

Tuesday's additions by Hayes brings MU's 2024-25 recruiting class to six-strong, including international transfer Esteban Davila Gasser, junior college national champions Amen Prince Gandonou and Hod'Abalo Isak Padio and incoming freshman Shingo Masuda. The six newcomers will join veterans Howell Burns, Marceau Fouilhoux and Nemanja Stefanovic in filling out next season's roster.
