JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Visiting Mercer pounded out 18 hits on the afternoon, including seven of the extra-base variety, and compiled a 7-for-17 clip with runners in scoring position on the way to a pair of wins, 4-2 and 10-2, at East Tennessee State on Saturday.

The victories snapped a five-game Southern Conference skid for the Bears (22-21, 3-7 SoCon) who logged their 13th and 14th victories away from Macon this season as well. Saturday's decisions marked the 14^th and 15^th losses in the last 18 contests for East Tennessee State (13-29, 2-9).

KEY INNINGS (GAME 1)
TOP 3	Mercer loaded the bases with its first four at-bats in the third, and then got a 2-run single from Tori Hedgecock to level the game.
TOP 4	Hannah Rivers climbed aboard via a 1-out single and eventually scurried home on a double from Sydney Harris two batters later. Hallie Langford hit a run-scoring double in the ensuing at-bat to cap the scoring.

KEY INNINGS (GAME 2)
TOP 2	Laura Vigna doubled to lead off the second and moved 60 feet away two pitches later on a bunt from Hannah Rivers. Emma Dorval brought the run home on a sacrifice fly to straightaway centerfield to give the Bears the lead, and Sietske Drijvers doubled the advantage in the ensuing at-bat with a solo homer to left field.
TOP 3	Hallie Langford (single) and Parris Wiggs (walk) both reached base safely to start the top of the third inning, and Tori Hedgecock all but put the game out of reach when she crushed ETSU starter Eden Muncy's first offering over the fence in left field.
