COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Bears battled both a loaded field and stormy weather conditions for 36 holes on the second day of the Bryan Bros Collegiate. Mercer finished tied for 13th out of 15 teams at Solina Golf Club.

Henry Robards was the only Bear to finish under par this tournament. The sophomore turned in two rounds of an even 71 and his one-under second round became the deciding factor to allow him to finish in the red.

After finishing the Sandestin Collegiate Classic at five over par, Nathan Trodd turned in three solid rounds to finish tied for 32nd out of 84 competitors.

In uncharacteristic fashion, Mercer finished with the 12th most birdies (44) at the Bryan Bros Collegiate. The Bears finished with the most birdies (62) out of 13 teams in the Sandestin Collegiate Classic.

The Bears are idle until October 18 when Mercer travels to Greenville, South Carolina for the Furman Intercollegiate.
