Mercer Opens Spring Season In Florida At FAU Paradise Invitational

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's golf team is set to begin its spring season on Monday at the FAU Paradise Invitational in Boca Raton, Florida.
The tournament is held at Osprey Point Golf Club in Boca Raton. The 54-hole, three-day event will see teams play 18 holes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Monday's opening round for the Bears will start at 10 a.m. as Ella Mäki-Tanila will be the first golfer off the tee for the Bears. Mercer will be playing alongside competitors from Georgia and Rutgers.
Mercer finished the fall season strong, winning the Mercer Invitational with Katie Scheck finishing as the individual champion. The Bears will be competing against a strong field with 10 of the 16 schools in the field coming from major conferences (SEC, Big 12, Big 10, etc.). The Bears played in this tournament last year, finishing in sixth place out of 15 teams.
