
Bears Finish First Tournament Of Spring At FAU Paradise Invitational

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Katie Scheck finished tied for 28th place to lead the Mercer in the Bears' first spring tournament of the season at the FAU Paradise Invitational from Osprey Point Golf Club in Boca Raton, Florida.
As a team, the Bears finished in 13th place out 16 teams. Mercer's final team score was 31-over, 895. No. 24 Tennessee won the tournament at 10-under, 854. Tennessee also had the individual champion in Kyra Van Can who finished at 10-under, 206. There field consisted of 90 players.
Scheck carded rounds of 75 (+3), 72 (E), 73 (+1) to finish at 4-over, 220. Scheck had 41 pars over the three days, which was tied for third most in the field.
Up next for the Bears is the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational from Great Waters Golf Club in Greensboro, Georgia. The Bears will host the tournament from Feb. 20-22.
