MACON, Ga. – The Bears weren't fooling around as they rallied from a three-goal deficit with less than three minutes remaining to send the game to overtime as the Mercer's men's lacrosse team grabbed a 13-12 win over High Point on Saturday afternoon. The Bears won the ensuing faceoff and Rahill looked to score the game-winner with just three seconds remaining, but the goal was called off, sending the game to overtime. Â
COACH HANNAN'S TAKE
"It was just a great DI lacrosse game against a great SoCon rival. Mercer and High Point are always in good games, whether it's at their place or our place. I think the thing we take as a team and coaches is we can come together and finish games whether we're down three in the fourth quarter or not, we're alive because we're a talented enough team to be there. Being down three with four minutes to go, that's a tough game to win. We won a lot of faceoffs, had possessions, won in ground balls 9-3 in the fourth quarter and made plays when we had to."
