ORLANDO – The Mercer Men's Tennis team dropped a hard-fought 6-1 contest against the University of Central Florida at the USTA National Campus on Friday afternoon.

The highlight of the match came in the top singles flight when 46th-ranked senior Olivier Stuart upset the No. 22 player in the country, Gabriel Decamps, in a come-from-behind three set thriller. Junior Hugo Lobo battled against the 29th-ranked Jan Palbo Mazzuchi in the No. 2 singles position, forcing the second set to go to a tiebreak. Senior Stathis Tsiranidis also competed hard against 108th-ranked Bogdan Pavel in the fourth singles flight by taking the first set, 7-5.
