Mercer set to take on Georgia Southern on Wednesday
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Statesboro, Ga. to face Georgia Southern.
The Bears and Eagles were scheduled to meet earlier this season but were postponed. Mercer enters the match coming off a loss at No. 16 Tennessee on Jan. 31. The Bears are is led by Olivier Stuart who ranks 46th in the ITA Singles rankings.

Scouting the Eagles
The Eagles of Georgia Southern enter the match with a 6-5 record. Georgia Southern hosted Kennesaw State and USC-Upstate on Feb. 8 and came away with a 4-1 win over Kennesaw State and a 7-0 victory over USC-Upstate. The Eagles have won four straight matches and are a perfect 4-0 at theWallis Tennis Center.
Pascal Wagemaker leads the team in wins with eight this spring. He is currently 7-0 playing No. 3 singles. Alexandros Roumpis follows with seven wins this season. He is 6-0 playing No. 4 singles. Georgia Southern is 32-24 record in singles matches.
In doubles, the Eagles are led by the team of Diego Finkelstein and Roumpis. The pair has 10 double wins, and the Murphy McCullough and Santiago Suarez follow with five wins. Georgia Southern is 14-15 in dual matches this season.
