Men’s Tennis Heads to Kennesaw State

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team returns to action on Sunday for the first time since March 7, when they head to Kennesaw, Ga. to face Kennesaw State. The match is set to start at 4 p.m. from the Betty Siegel Courts.

Scouting the Owls
The Owls come into the match against the Bears with a 3-8 mark on the season. Kennesaw State is coming off a 4-3 loss to Tennessee Tech last Sunday. The loss snapped a two-match winning streak.

Kennesaw State is 20-39 in singles matches this season. Sergio Ingles leads the team with five double wins. He has all his wins come in the second flight. Raul Garcia is 4-5 on the season when playing No. 3 singles.

The Owls are 9-19 in doubles action. They have 11 different teams used. Harvey Conway and Garcia lead the team with four wins. The duo is 4-1 in No. 2 doubles and has won their last two matches. They are the only doubles team on the team on a winning streak for the Owls.

NEXT UP
The Bears return home on Wednesday, March 17 when they host ETSU in Southern Conference action. The match is set for a 2:30 p.m. start.
