Mercer takes on ETSU Saturday and UNCG Sunday
MACON, Ga – The Mercer men's tennis team hosts ETSU and UNCG for Southern Conference play this weekend. First serve Saturday is set for 12 p.m. against ETSU and 1 p.m. on Sunday against UNCG.

Scouting the Bucs
ETSU comes to Macon this weekend with a 4-5 overall record while remaining perfect in conference play with a 2-0 record. They are on a four-match win streak entering the weekend with all of their wins coming in their last 4 matches played. In the Bucs most recent conference matchup, they handled the Wofford Terriers with ease winning 7-0.
 
In singles play the Bucs are currently 23-31 as a team and are being led by Dimitri Badra. Badra owns a 6-3 overall record and a 3-1 record playing in the top flight for the Bucs. Frazier Rengifo has also led the Bucs playing the No. 2 singles with an overall record of 4-1.
 
In doubles play, ETSU is 14-11 overall this season and are being led by the duo of Juan Lugo and Frazier Rengifo who are a perfect 4-0 playing in the top spot for the Bucs. Dimitri Badra and Miguel Este have also been playing well in doubles play for the Bucs with a 3-0 record playing in the 3 spot for ETSU.
 
Scouting the Spartans
The UNCG Spartans travel to the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center this weekend with an overall record of 1-6 on the season. The Spartans lone win came against Gardner-Webb where they won 4-3. UNCG is currently 0-3 in conference play this season coming into the weekend matchup with Mercer.
 
In singles play, the Spartans are 10-20 overall with Hugh Knapp leading the charge for UNCG. Knapp is 2-3 overall this season and is 1-2 playing as the top seed for the Spartans. Nico Grewe is another top player for UNCG with a 3-1 record playing in the 3 spot. Alexander Zuckerman also has a 3-2 record in singles play for the Spartans.
 
In doubles play, UNCG owns a 6-8 record with the team of Nico Grewe and Ollie Palmer leading the Spartans. The duo is 2-1 overall in doubles play this season and play in as the top seed for UNCG. Roger Rogowski and Cooper Wyett have played well for the Spartans in the 2 spot currently holding a 2-1 record.
