Men’s Tennis Falls to ETSU

Mercer returns to action on Sunday at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team looked to get back in the win column on Saturday but dropped a 6-1 decision to ETSU in Southern Conference action at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
The Bears and Bucs were locked in a tight doubles match. After ETSU took No. 3 doubles, Hugo Lobo and Lucas Wayenburg won No. 1 doubles, 6-3. The doubles point would come down to the second doubles teams. The Bucs came away taking a 1-0 lead.
Mercer continued to battle in singles action but found themselves down 3-0 after ETSU took No. 1 and No. 4 singles. ETSU clinched the match after winning in No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-3.
The lone match the Bears would win could come in No. 6 singles with Samuel Barrow. Borrow defeated Miguel Este, 6-4, 6-4 for the Bears lone point of the day.
