Mercer loses both against Charleston Southern
Charleston, S.C.  – The Mercer Bears continued their season on the road at Charleston Southern but did not find victory in the first day, dropping both games of their double header.Â
"We are continuing to compete a little better in each series against opponents", said Head Coach Lindsay Fico. "We just haven't managed to have our best stuff in the circle on the same day we are most productive in the box.
It's frustrating because I know we have the ability to compete at a higher level. We will just have to remain focused on what's important and how each of us can learn from the recent struggles offensively and defensively."
Game One: Charleston Southern 3, Mercer 2
The Bears would find the board in the top of the second inning. Grace Prom doubled to right field followed by a sac bunt from Kenlie Harvey, advancing Prom to third.  A single from Tori Ash would score Prom before the Bears faced all three outs.Â
