Mercer Loses Midweek Game Versus Clemson
Clemson, S.C.  – The Mercer Bears fell to the #17 Clemson Tigers Wednesday night with a final score of 3-0.Â

"Very proud of how we competed tonight," said Head Coach Lindsay Fico. Hannah Pitts continues to show she is prepared to lead this team. Kenlie Harvey had a great night at the plate. Happy to see all of her hard work pay off."
Clemson 3, Mercer 0
Kenlie Harvey would be the first Bear on base with a double to left center. Tori Hedgecock followed suit, singling to the short stop but the Bears would be unable to capitalize in the top of the first.Â
The Tigers went on to score all their runs in the bottom of the second inning. Kyah Keller doubled to right center, recording the second hit and double for the team. JoJo Hyatt walked and advanced to third on a double by Maddie Moore which scored Keller. A double to center field by McKenzie Clark scored Moore and Hyatt and gave the Tigers a three-point lead.Â
In the top of the third, Rebeca Laudino singled with a bunt. Hedgecock walked in the top of the fourth.Â
The hitting streak continued in the fifth with a single down the right field line by Alyssa Woods. Harvey recorded her second double in the sixth inning. Additionally, Diamond Williams walked in the same inning.
The final hit of the night would be a single from Annie Potter to the short stop.Â
In total, the Bears recorded six hits. Hannah Pitts recorded three strikeouts. The Bears finished with no errors.Â

The Bears will host Iona and Stetson for the Mercer Bears Classic Friday-Sunday. The Bears will face Iona first on Friday at 6:00 p.m.Â
