Mercer Hosts Furman

MACON, Ga. – Mercer will play their third conference series this weekend against Furman. The first game of the double header is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday followed by a 4:00 p.m. game. The final game is set for Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

MERCER OUTLOOK
The Bears enter the weekend after falling 0-3 in their series against Samford.

Diamond Williams leads the team with a batting average of .329. Rebeca Laudino leads in runs (20) and is tied with Annie Potter with 27 hits. Laudino is tied with Adele Braun with 15 RBIs. Braun is tied with Potter in doubles with five while Potter and Alyssa Woods have three triples. Tori Hedgecock has 20 total walks and Kenlie Harvey leads in homeruns with three.

Hannah Pitts leads from the circle with an ERA of 5.21 and a WHIP of 1.23.

SCOUTING FURMAN
The Paladins currently hold a 12-19 record, 1-3 within conference.

Emily Bartlett leads with a .337 batting average. Bartlett also leads in hits (28), doubles (9), and walks (22). Bartlett is tied with Natalie Morgan with four homeruns. Morgan is the leader in triples (2) and RBIs (20). Ashlee Lykins is the leader in runs with 20.

Bailey Tanner holds the lowest ERA (3.50) and WHIP (1.22). Sierra Tufts has the most experience in the circle with a record of 5-9. Her ERA is 4.31 and a WHIP of 1.61.

Interim Head Coach Stacy Johnson-Whitfield is within her second season.
