Bears To Face The Owls

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer softball team makes their first road trip this Wednesday to Kennesaw State after going 1-2 at the Heart of Georgia Classic.Â
"I look forward to seeing how our team bounces back after two disappointing losses Sunday," said head coach Fico. "It's never easy losing, but what matters most is how we respond. Kennesaw State is a talented squad that will be a great test for us before our long weekend at Stetson."

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
    The Owls are 1-1 on the season after battling Tennessee Tech and UT Martin at the Stinger Classic this past weekend. Kennesaw State was picked third in the preseason All-ASUN conference. This will be the 35th meeting between the two teams, with the Bears winning four of the last seven. Mercer will have to look out for senior pitcher Melanie Bennett who recorded five strikeouts in her three innings pitched this season.Â
