Bears Set for Florida A&M Rematch

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer softball team will be traveling to Tallahassee, FL this week to face off against Florida A&M University. The Bears faced them earlier in the season at home and fell 5-1 (read more here).

Rebeca Laudino sits third in the SoCon for batting average( .381) and first for hits at 37 and stolen bases at 11.
Tori Hedgecock sits tied for first in the conference for home runs recording nine homers so far this season.
Bailey Ledvina leads the conference in SAC bunts.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
The Rattlers are 11-14 on the season and 5-4 in their conference, SWAC. The team went 1-2 this past weekend against Alabama State. This will be the 14th meeting between the Bears and the Rattlers. Mercer leads the series 10-3 with Mercer winning four of the past five meetings. The Bears will have to watch out for senior pitcher Nadia Zenteno who has pitched 62.2 innings recording a 3.91 ERA.
