Bears Set For Mid-Week Contest Against Clemson University

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer softball team is on the road this week as they travel to Clemson, SC to take on the #4 Clemson Tigers. The Bears are coming off a 2-3 weekend at the Crimson Classic where they broke their seven-game losing streak against Longwood (2-0).

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Clemson is 20-1 on the season with one loss coming from Tennessee University (0-1). The Tigers are coming off their first ACC series sweep this past weekend. The Bears will have to watch out for Sophomore pitcher Brooke McCubbin, who pitched four innings with three strikeouts, no walks, and only one hit allowed in her last contest. Mercer faced Clemson last year in Clemson, SC where the Tigers won 3-0.
