ABOUT THE OPPONENT
    The Furman Paladins sit 16-22 in the season with a 6-2 conference record. Their two losses in conference play came from ESTU. Furman leads the SoCon in batting average (.272) and hits (284). They are coming off a double header sweep of College of Charleston this week and are on a four game winning streak. Mercer will have to look out for pitcher Sierra Tufts who has a 3.27 ERA and pitched all seven innings in the 3-0 victory over the College of Charleston allowing only two hits.

NOTABLE BEARS IN THE SOCON

Rebeca Laudino moved into the second spot for batting average( .390) and is first for hits at 46 and stolen bases, 13.
Tori Hedgecock sits tied for first in the conference for home runs recording eleven homers so far this season.
Bailey Ledvina leads the conference in SAC bunts (9).
