MACON, Ga. – The Mercer softball team will be home this weekend for a three game series against SoCon opponent, Western Carolina University.
"This weekend's series against Western is huge for us,"said head coach Fico. "We are still in control of our own destiny in conference play. I'm excited to see if we can maintain the same focus and high energy we brought to Furman. The team has worked hard to prepare all week. I look for us to carry the momentum from our midweek performance into another tough SoCon matchup."

This will be the 39th meeting between the two teams. Mercer leads the series 16-12 with two wins over the last five games. The Bears will have to watch out for Brooklynn Brewingt who leads the conference in batting average (.381) and has recorded 10 stolen bases this year.Â
